What Can I Expect?

Overall
I’m a full-time working person who supports her passion during non-work hours. It’s my dream to capture your very own dreamy, happy, beautiful imagery. This is where I’d rather be than at a desk 50 hours a week. So, when I’m with you, photographing you, I’m 100% all in. I will experiment, I will flail around trying to capture certain images and sometimes probably fail at it too, so I’ll move on quickly. I’ll probably ask you strange questions to bring on those goofy laughs or get you moving around a lot, so the photographs don’t look stale or too posed. I’ll be a third wheel, an extra family member, a comedian, your very own therapist, your biggest supporter and a photographer all in the one shoot. I will capture as much as I possibly can and if you feel as though I haven’t captured what you wanted on the day, speak up! I want you to tell me what you want me to capture, what you want to feel when you see the images that I edit and send through to you. At the end of it all, this is a service and I want you to be truly happy with the service.

Before
Once you contact me, I will answer all the questions you have and include pricing in our very first conversation. I like to be very up front about this topic of conversation because I believe in transparency and honesty from the outset. Once all that is organised and we’ve set up the logistics of the shoot itself, we will get to know each other. I’ll get to know what you are most looking for in the service I’ll be providing, and you’ll get to know how to feel truly comfortable around me and my style of shooting. We will chat about clothing, natural movement and timing. We’ll chat about bad weather options, hot weather options and everything else that you might be concerned about. Depending on the package you choose, we’ll talk about a lot of other logistics (including but not limited to best parks for pet packages, home shoots for families, headshot etiquette and even field photography for couples).

Shoot Day!
The morning of the shoot, I’ll call or text to check in and make sure you’re doing alright. Feel free to send me images of clothing choices you have, I’m happy to help in any way possible even if it’s for the little things. I’ll meet you where we’ve decided to meet, and we’ll get going straight away. I always have a speaker with me so if a certain song pops into your head while we’re shooting then feel free to ask me to throw it on! Remember it’s a two-way conversation when I’m shooting so don’t be afraid to move out of that stale smile of yours to answer my questions. The more you move, the more natural the photos will look (this is not relevant for business headshots). I truly want you to feel comfortable, so if you don’t please tell me. I’ll throw my camera down and we can do the Nutbush if that makes you feel comfortable! Remember, I might get into your personal bubbles on the day so be ready to be out of your comfort zone, because that’s what we need for some truly unique imagery to be produced.

After
I’ll wave goodbye to you at the shoot and begin my editing process. Don’t worry about contacting me, I’ll text you. I like to keep my clients updated as I go and I’ll no doubt send a sneak peek photo or two. Once I’m ready I’ll send you through to your client portal where you can view and download all your finalised, dreamy, beautiful imagery. I hope you enjoy every single part of the experience with me just as I will with you. My favourite part is perfecting your images so if you have feedback after you receive them please feel free to tell me and of course I would 10/10 appreciate you passing my name onto anyone who would enjoy my sessions as much as you might have. Thank you!
