A Secret Garden Dressler Affair

Long time lovers, high school sweethearts and best friends, Erin and Ian tied the knot at The Secret Garden Estate in the Gold Coast hinterland just over a month ago now. Waking to a spectacular, blue skied day was the perfect present for the soon-to-be husband and wife. In the beautiful sun, the boys cracked beers at midday while the ladies popped champagne and huddled around the excitement of the long awaited wedding.

Throughout the entire morning, anyone could tell how much these two have waited for this day their entire lives. With Erin not being able to shut up about becoming a Dressler and with Ian’s pure look of love whenever he saw his soon to be wife, it was clear that they are a perfect combination of unconditional love.

The ceremony sat in the middle of a gorgeous green field, with the shadows of large tree tops speckling light over where the couple were soon to be wed. Soft piano notes began to play, the guests rose from their seats, and Erin strolled eagerly down the aisle with her parents by her side. In the next moment, Ian slowly turned to lock eyes with Erin, the whole crowd held their breath while their hearts swelled with love. Tears silently fell from Ian’s eyes as his smile grew bigger by the minute. The two locked hands and made vows to forever be each other’s biggest supporters. The newly wedded couple walked back through their closest friends and family with confetti glittering in the sun above their heads. In perfect Erin form, there were hugs and kisses abundant between the guests and the now, Mrs and Mr Dressler.

Moving from a beautiful sunset, into the reception area which was mostly lit by fairy lights, everyone settled in for a wild night of speeches and dancing. The speeches were truly unforgettable. From Erin and Ian’s parents leaving no dry eye in the venue to Ian’s best men bringing back fond, old memories all the way to Erin’s maid of honour realising that she had now been replaced and is the world’s biggest third wheel to live. Each speech was cheered and celebrated, the delightful food was devoured, the cake was cut and suddenly the dance floor was vibrating with every possible guest squished onto it.

From there on out, the reception was a complete vibe! Tequila shots on the dance floor, twerking on all fours, old lovers swing dancing and polaroid pictures being snapped anywhere they could be. It was a party that will never be forgotten. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Dressler, may your married life be full of BABIES and plentiful love.
